First Nations Design
In 2021, Coastal Sparks First Nations member Karen Hayden created a First Nations design especially for Coastal Sparks.
This design was made into an Indigenous netball dress. Each year our teams proudly wear the First Nation’s dress in support and acknowledgement of the WDNA Indigenous Round of netball.
“Our Indigenous design represents our people coming together in good spirits near the coastal water meeting grounds to make them stronger, whilst respective the connection to Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar (country) and Maambakoort (ocean). See the Sparks fly”
